UMIS-SMEA
(Small and Medium Entrepreneur Association) is
an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organization
created in 1988 for the purpose of promoting small
to medium sized business enterprises throughout
Croatia.
We are entrepreneurs of small and medium sized
companies that have 1-250 employees, our mission
is to create a domestic and international business
network; we provide technical and legal assistance
to entrepreneurs associated, and we engage ourselves
for a stronger and stronger integration of Croatia
in Europe.
Our partners are teachers, promoters of entrepreneurship
and UUP Associations (Udruga etc.).
We are engaging ourselves to complete within the
next three years the PROJECT 21, a plan to develop
a comprehensive network of twenty-one SMEA business
centres, one each county, throughout the country.

| ItaCro
is active also in the participation to the Croatian
fairs, that we think important in order to verify
the answer of the market. For this we have concluded
an agreement of collaboration with the Fair
of Rijeka (Rijecki Sajam) and with the
Fair of Split (Sajam Split) that
previews specific facilities for the Italian firms
of the ItaCro project. In the last 27 October,
we have meet the director of Fair to Split, Igor

The
Association of craftsmen from the island of Hvar
is the association of all the craftsmen
from the cities of Hvar, Stari grad, Jelsa and
Sucuraj. In the aggregate there are 682 craftsmen
on the whole island, subdivided in 234 restaurateures,184
traders, 144 entrepreneurs, 90 fishermen and 30
sea operator.
In 2003 the number of the craftsmen is increased
in comparison with the data of 2002, moreover
concerning restaurateures and traders.
